Ever wonder why you’re bag weighs a ton?
And no its not because of the giant water bottle that can feed a herd of camel, the Eat, Pray Love, book that you have yet to read (hello, the movie is out already??!!), and the other gazillion things that you don’t need in your day-to-day bag.
Check out your makeup bag and you’ll see that its time to start Spring Cleaning and only keep the absolute essentials. Here’s our nifty list of the Top 5 Beauty Must-Haves:
Tinted Moisturizer w/SPF: Why tote around facial moisturizer or primer, concealer, foundation and sunscreen? Tinted moisturizers are great especially in the summer since it provides enough coverage for blemishes but light enough that you don’t feel like you’re completely caked in foundation. Just make sure you buy one that has a minimum of SPF20. My favorite is from e.l.f for its handy size, SPF20 and for its can’t-beat price of $3.
Blotting Sheets: If you’re like me and get “shiny moon face” a few times a day, then you definitely need blotting sheets on hand. Not only will it remove the grease & shine from your face, it’ll save you some time in re-applying your makeup. Why not go for something pretty like Paul & Joe‘s?
Dual-Purpose Lip & Cheek Tint: Instead of carrying a lipgloss and blush, why not invest in a dual-purpose lip & cheek stain like Stila‘s? Not only does it cut down on your makeup bag, you’ll also save time when it comes to re-applying!
Mini Mascara & Lash Cards: The quickest way to go from daytime to nightime is to play up your eyes. Now I know its not a mini mascara, but I’ve never been able to part with my favorite pink & green girl form Maybelline. And to help you apply mascara without any clumping or leftovers to clean up, use this handy dandy why-didn’t-I-come-up-with-this-sooner Lash Card. So much cuter and more sanitary than using an old business card!
Happy Spring Cleaning!
